The Bossna 7512 is the heavy end of this family. The rolling-swivel barrel rotates freely to shed line twist through casting, jigging and retrieval, while the heavy-duty jig snap uses the thickest spring wire and the widest opening here — enough to take the split ring of a metal jig or a large hard lure without deforming. Black nickel finish, seven sizes from #8 to #2/0.

How To Rig It

• Main line to leader — Palomar from braid to the swivel eye, improved clinch on mono or fluorocarbon; wet before seating.
• Snap to jig — Clip to the split ring or solid ring, never the bare wire eye, and confirm the arm has seated fully after each change.
• Matching size to line — Bigger number means smaller: #8 lightest, #2/0 heaviest. Match line class and jig weight, not the fish you hope for.
• The weakest link — On a jigging rig the snap is the first thing to straighten. If assist cord and leader outrate it, step the snap up, not the leader.
• After saltwater — Rinse in fresh water and dry; discard any unit whose swivel binds or whose arm has opened out.
