How To Fish It

Slow surface-layer retrieve — Wind just fast enough to keep the lure tracking in the top 20cm. In current, cast up-tide and let the flow do most of the work.
Twitch and pause — Two short rod-tip twitches, then a pause of one to two seconds so the lure floats back up. Most takes come on the pause.
Drift under lights — At night, cast across a lit jetty or bridge line and swim the lure through the shadow edge where predators sit facing the current.
Long-range searching — Fan casts from a breakwater or bank to cover the flat quickly, then slow down once you locate fish.
