DUEL - HARDCORE 50mm F1200 LG HEAVY MINNOW SINKING FISHING LURES
Duel Hardcore LG Heavy Minnow 50mm 6g F1200 Sinking Fishing Lures
The Duel Hardcore LG Heavy Minnow 50S packs 6g into a 50mm body, which is a lot of mass for a light game lure and is exactly the point of it. Duel describes it as a super long cast heavy minnow built to cover distant points and deep water an ordinary minnow of this size cannot reach, with a stated maximum casting distance of 40 metres. Unlike the magnetic transfer lures elsewhere in the LG range, this one uses a fixed weight system: the weight does not move, so the lure begins swimming the instant it lands rather than needing a turn or two to settle, and it holds a tight wobble through fast retrieves and strong current. That same fixed layout lets it be twitched continuously in short movements without blowing out. The working band is 20 to 100cm, so it counts down as a fast-sinking search lure.
Key Features
- Heavy sinking minnow, 50mm and 6g — small profile with high density
- Stated maximum casting distance of 40m
- Fixed weight system: swims immediately on landing, no settling delay
- Dive range of 20–100cm, set by countdown
- Tight wobble that holds together in wind, current and fast retrieves
- Takes continuous short-travel twitching without losing its action
- #12 treble hooks with #1 split rings as supplied
- Eight colours including UV glow and luminous glow patterns for night and deep work
How To Fish It
- Long cast and steady wind — Fan casts to the limit of your range, then a medium retrieve to hold the lure in its 20–100cm band.
- Countdown — Let it sink on a set count, adding a second each cast until you contact fish. In current, count on a tight line.
- Short continuous twitching — Small fast rod-tip twitches with the reel turning slowly. The fixed weight stops the body over-rolling, so it flashes on the spot.
- Fish the current seam — Cast up-current across a river mouth and let the flow swing the lure through the seam where bait is pushed.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Small barramundi (siakap), mangrove jack, queenfish and small trevally around jetties and river mouths; sebarau and peacock bass on reservoir points.
- North America — Smallmouth and largemouth bass in rivers and reservoirs, white bass and walleye on current breaks, plus inshore speckled trout.
- Japan & East Asia — Light game (raito gemu) from harbour walls for mebaru, kasago, small seabass (suzuki) and mackerel; also hirame off sandy beaches.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Bream, flathead and Australian salmon in estuaries; perch, zander and asp in European rivers; small queenfish on Gulf shorelines.
