Decoy WORM13S Rockfish Limited EX Heavy Offset Worm Hook

The WORM13S Rock Fish Limited is Decoy's saltwater offset hook for working soft plastics into rock and rubble, where a hooked fish immediately tries to bury itself. It is built on an EX heavy wire gauge, so the shank resists opening when you clamp down and drag the fish out of a hole rather than playing it. The finish is a high corrosion-resistant tin plating over a solid silver base, chosen for life expectancy in salt. Decoy positions it for all saltwater soft-plastic targets, from shore casting over breakwater rubble to offshore reef and wreck.

How To Rig It

• Texas rig (weedless) — Push the point 5 mm into the worm's nose, out through the belly, slide the bait up over the eye, rotate the hook 180 degrees, then re-enter through the back and bury the tip just under the plastic. Keep the worm hanging dead straight or it will spin.
• Free rig — Run a sliding sinker on the leader above the hook so the weight falls first and the bait glides down behind it. Fish a semi-tight line and set as soon as it jumps.
• Hopping through rubble — Let it hit bottom, lift the rod from 8 to 10 o'clock, then let the bait fall back on a controlled line. Most rockfish take on the drop.
• Straight swim over reef — With a paddle-tail and a pegged bullet weight, wind slowly just above the reef crown and pause whenever the lure clips structure.
